Dr. Erika Rodkey is a licensed 26006 clinical social worker in Maryland and Washington, D.C. She worked for many years as a school social worker in D.C. for children, adolescents, and young adults with significant intellectual, physical, emotional, and behavioral disabilities, providing both individual and group therapy.
Dr. Rodkey utilizes a variety of therapeutic techniques in her practice, including cognitive and behavioral therapy and play therapy, all framed within the strengths perspective. She holds a B.A., MSW, and Ph.D. in social work, all from The Catholic University of America, where her research focused on applying social work practices in therapy with individuals with disabilities and training social work students to work with this population.
